Can I book only one or two rooms, or do I need to book the entire Home?

No, you cannot book just one room. You would need to book the entire home.

What is the type of cuisine served?

We offer authentic, home-fresh meals. We have a standard menu and our caretaker will help you craft the perfect combination once you have booked your stay. Please do share your meal preferences and dietary requirements, if any, when the team reaches out to you.

Are we allowed to cook ourselves?

Guests are not allowed to access the kitchen. However, mothers of infants or small children will have limited access to boil milk or prepare their kids meals.

Do you allow us to stock things in your fridge?

Yes, you can use the common fridge to store food/beverages.

Can I pay the caretaker some extra money and request the Cook to prepare fish or mutton dishes for us?

Yes. In case you would like the caretaker to cook a special dish, you can pay him for the actuals and cooking, cleaning fee on site, in cash. Please note that this will be subject to availability of ingredients.

Is Alcohol allowed? Are there any corkage charges?

Yes, alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. There are no corkage charges.

Is smoking / alcohol consumption permitted?

Yes, smoking is allowed but strictly not inside the home. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside in the garden/lawn area. Alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. We do not encourage late night revelry or loud music.

What are the Check-in & Check-out timings? May I request for late check-outs or an early check-in?

Check-in time at 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am. Please note that check-out timings are strict as we need to ready the rooms for our next booking. Guests are requested to respect the timing of other guests as well. In case you wish to check in a little early or check out a little late, do inform us at the time of booking. Additional charges will be applied. Late check-out charges includes meals (lunch).

What formalities are needed during check-in and check-out?

As required by law, all guests must provide their government-approved Photo IDs (clearly showing their residential address) at the time of Check-in. Please note, we do not accept PAN cards as a valid ID. Your cooperation is of the utmost importance to us.

Are we allowed to access all areas?

Guests are welcome to access all common areas on the property, including the living room, garden, and other designated spaces. However, certain areas, such as the terrace and neighboring properties, are off-limits for privacy and safety reasons. We kindly ask that you respect these boundaries to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone.

How do we reach your villa by public transport?

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport which is 30 km and Dehradun Railway Station is 3 km from the villa. To ensure you reach the property without any confusion, please use the navigation link shared by SaffronStays in your confirmation email. The Google pin provided will guide you through the most accurate route to the property.

Are stag groups allowed to book this home?

No. We do not allow stag groups to book this home.

What is the cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy offers a full refund if canceled 21 days or more before the check-in date. If canceled between 21-11 days prior, a 50% refund applies. Cancellations made within 11 days of check-in are non-refundable. A 5% processing fee applies to refunds, while refunds via travel credits incur no fee. Cancellations are not allowed for blackout dates. In case of extenuating circumstances, a refund of 85% may apply if SaffronStays rebooks the same dates. Partial payments are non-refundable.

Can I pay 50% now and pay the remaining 50% closer to the date?

Unfortunately, there is no option for part payment. Guests are required to pay 100% of the payment before check-in.

How can I make a payment?

Once you have chosen your dates and your booking has been accepted, you will receive a payment link where the payment can be processed. In case you're unable to make an online payment through the link, you could also deposit the cash in our bank account directly. We also offer other options like PayTM, NEFT/IMPS or UPI.

How and when do I pay for the Security Deposit and how and when is it returned to me?

Security deposit is to be paid two days prior to check-in. If no damages are observed, the deposit will be returned during check-out itself or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out.

Can I redeem any offers while booking this home?

Yes. Members can redeem their nights, utilise their privileges, or avail any offers while booking this home.

Does SaffronStays accept cash payments?

No. All payments for booking the villa, including meals, will have to be pre-paid prior to check-in. Security Deposit collected during booking will be returned during check-out or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out, provided no damages are observed. To avoid inconvenience, we will not be accepting cash onsite for any reasons henceforth. Please note: The Security Deposit is subject to change depending upon the number of nights and the group size. Please check with your holiday advisor at the time of booking.

How many extra mattresses can be provided?

2 extra mattresses can be arranged onsite at an additional cost. Our home has adequate bed sheets, blankets and pillows for extra bedding.

What type of beds, mattresses do you have?

Our bedrooms have lovely queen-sized/king-sized beds.

Do you provide toiletries and bath towels?

Yes, we provide toiletries like soap, shampoo, shower gel and towels.

Is the Home air-conditioned?

Our home is surrounded by greenery and it is cool throughout the day. Our home is air-conditioned and all rooms have been furnished with fans and mosquito nets over the windows.

Is there Internet/ 3G/ WiFi connection available onsite?

Yes, the villa has WiFi connection. There is adequate network connectivity, if not 4G then 3G.

Does the villa face frequent power outages? Are there any invertors or gensets to address this issue?

Yes, we have a backup inverter for rare power outages. Please note that the AC and geyser will not work during a power cut.

Do you have a problem with mosquitoes? How do you deal with it to make our stay more comfortable?

All rooms have mosquito repellents. Guests are advised to shut the windows between 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm to avoid mosquitoes and insects from entering the home.

Is there a security guard / watchman?

Yes. The home is located within a gated complex.

Are the premises monitored using CCTVs?

Yes, there are CCTV cameras installed in the Verandah/Sit Outs, Lawns/Garden, Parking, Estate Entrance, Backyard/Storage Area. Private bedrooms and bathrooms are not monitored.

Can stray dogs enter the premises?

No, the home is within a fenced area. However, should a stray dog enter, inform the caretaker and he will address the issue.

Is the property properly fenced? Is there a boundary wall?

Yes, our home has a stone wall surrounding the premises.

Is there First-aid kit available at your Home?

Yes, we do have a first-aid kid onsite, stocked with Dettol, band-aids and over-the-counter medicines like Metacin, Crocin etc.

Is the villa and its surroundings well lit up?

The villa is well lit up. There is enough lighting even in the surrounding areas i.e lawns, grounds.

Is this home child-friendly?

Yes, our home is child friendly. There is plenty of space to run around and many indoor activities that will keep your children occupied. The home has instead been stocked with board games such as Ludo, Chess, Carrom, Jenga. Parents are advised to be cautious when allowing kids to run around.

Is this home senior citizen friendly?

Yes, our home is senior citizen/elderly friendly. The villa features 3 bedrooms on the ground floor, with a small set of 4 stairs that can be easily climbed. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, designed for easy access, even at night, without any assistance. All bathrooms are equipped with anti-skid surfaces for added safety. Upon request, our caretakers can prepare meals with low salt, low spice, low fat, or low sugar options for senior citizens. Please inform us of these dietary preferences a day prior to check-in.

Is the villa wheelchair accessible?

No, our home is not wheelchair accessible.

Is the place pet-friendly?

No, this home is not pet-friendly. You can browse other pet-friendly homes on the website. Pets are not allowed in the pool.

Take a right from Dehradun Railway Station to Tyagi Road and continue on the road till Prince Chawk. Take a left from the chawk to Gandhi Road and drive till the Clock Tower. Take the Chakrata road from Clock Tower followed by a slight right towards Garhi Cantt. from Bindal bridge. Continue the drive for 500 meters and take the first right, to reach the property.

What can we do for fun around the property?

For fun around the property, there are several attractions to explore. The Clock Tower is just a 5-minute drive away, and the Dehradun Zoo is about a 30-minute drive. Robber's Cave and the FRI Museum are both just 15 minutes away. You can also enjoy a peaceful walk through the lush greenery leading to the Golf Course at Vijay Path Road. For shopping and local experiences, Ghantaghar and Rajpur Road (1.5 km away) offer plenty of options. If you're in the mood for adventure, the property is perfectly situated for trips to nearby destinations like Paonta Sahib (50 km), Mussoorie (31 km), Rishikesh (46 km), and Chakrata (88 km), making it a great base for exploring Uttarakhand.

Food can be ordered from the 'À la carte" menu available on-site or can order from nearby restaurants.

Given the location of our home, guests are allowed to play music within reasonable limits and during designated hours. Loud music is strictly prohibited. We kindly ask that you respect our neighbors by keeping the noise level mild and contained within the villa.

While roads connecting to the property are good, guests are advised to check the road and weather conditions before leaving for a road trip. Our home is cool and breezy round the year, so you could visit at anytime.
