At Serene Retreat (Glass Room), Alibaug
Meals are available at Rs. 1300 & Rs. 1500 per person, per day (Veg, Jain and Non-Veg) and for children at Rs. 650 & Rs. 750 per child, per day (Veg, Jain and Non-Veg). Seafood and mutton dishes (subject to availability) can be served at an additional cost which is payable at actuals. Tea/Coffee will be served during breakfast and afternoon tea time. If you would like tea/coffee during the day, this will be arranged at an additional charge. Please note that payments for meals are to be done at the property only through cash or card.

- Tucked away in the quaint village of Nagaon in Alibaug, SaffronStays Serene Retreat (Glass Room) is a glass room with stunning 270-degree views of the hills and farms.Â
- The holiday home is surrounded by an organic farm where different varieties of veggies along with mogras are grown. Freshly-picked veggies are used directly to prepare tasty, nutritious meals. The best part? The caretaker will take you on a tour to this organic farm where you can go vegetable picking with your little ones.
- As soon as you enter, towards the left, there are two interconnected rooms and a common bathroom which makes it elderly-friendly. Next to this space, is the swimming pool followed by a well-manicured lawn area and a gazebo where you can spend quality time with your family, friends or colleagues.Â
- This private villa in Alibaug has a poultry farm, basketball court, a rifle shooting and archery zone, and a playground where kids can play under your watchful eyes. The lawns are perfect to indulge in a round of badminton with your folks whereas your after-dinner scenes are covered with lots of board games to play with.Â
- Right in the middle of this estate, next to the kids’ playground, is the outdoor dining area where memories, laughter and nostalgia can be shared over lip-smacking Alibaug-style meals prepared by local in-home chefs.Â
- From this dining area, towards the left, is a three-story apartment-like structure that comprises of the Glass Room on the third floor. (Please note: Although this room has a bathroom of its own, it is not ensuite.)
- Imagine watching the clouds change shapes and feeling the soft nudges of the breeze throughout your stay here!Â
- The karaoke set-up, bonfire and barbeque arrangements will simply enliven your celebrations giving you a memorable experience.

Things to know before booking
- Check-In Time : 1 PM
- Check-Out Time : 10 AM
- Given the increased need for safety, hygiene and sanitization required at the villa, and for the safety of our guests and staff we cannot allow any early check-ins or late check-outs. The check-in and check-out timings mentioned online and in your confirmation email need to be followed.
- Outside food is not allowed in the villa.
- Guests are not allowed to access the kitchen except for infants with prior permission.
- Guests cannot invite other guests and day visitors during their stay.
- Bachelor groups & stag parties are not allowed.
- We do not encourage parties and late-night revelry. Loud music is not permitted beyond 10 pm.
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted only within limits.
- Illegal activities including but not limited to carrying/consuming drugs/narcotics and carrying firearms/weapons are prohibited on the property. Management reserves the right to report any such activities to local authorities.
- Guests are prohibited from smoking and setting up hookahs in the rooms/villa/lawns.
- The pool is unguarded. There is no lifeguard on site. Children in the pool must be accompanied by adults at all times.
- Guests are requested to take care of all personal valuables. Management is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any items.
- As required by law, every guest above 18 years must carry government-approved photo ID proof, that shows address. We accept only Aadhar Cards, Driving Licenses and Passports.
- Inappropriate behaviour or violation of any of the above House Rules will invite a polite refusal to accept a Booking. If already checked in, Management reserves the right to ask guests to leave.
- No crackers or colours are permitted in this home.
- All payments for booking the villa, including meals will have to be pre-paid prior to checkin. Security Deposit collected during booking will be returned during check-out or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out, provided no damages are observed. To avoid inconvenience, we will not be accepting cash onsite for any reasons henceforth.
- Security deposit is to be paid two days prior to check-in. If no damages are observed, the deposit will be returned during check-out itself or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out. Please Note: The Security Deposit is subject to change depending upon the number of nights and the group size. Please check with your holiday advisor at the time of booking.
- If you wish to book the space for more number of people, please check out SaffronStays Serene Retreat (Cottages) and SaffronStays Serene Retreat (Suites).
- Please note that the approach road to the home is rough.
- The caretaker stays with his family in the same complex to offer you 24x7 assistance.
- There is a villa’s office next to the caretaker’s quarters.
- The villa does not have a living room.
- One extra guest can be accommodated on a floor mattress.
- There is one Cable TV in the room.
- Please keep kids away from the Glass Room. Adult supervision is strictly advisable.
- Since you need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the Glass Room on the third floor, please note, this home is not elderly-friendly.
- The Glass Room has a bathroom of its own, please know that it is not ensuite.
- Don’t forget to say hi to two friendly doggos here which will never get in the way of your time. In case you wish to keep them away, please inform the caretaker.
- In case of a power outage or fluctuations, generators can be switched on. However, power outages or fluctuations due to weather, regional restrictions, etc. are beyond our control. Hence, diesel charges for genset operation will need to be paid by the guests at actuals. The genset needs to be switched off for 30 mins, after every two hours of usage, to avoid a breakdown.
- While the villa is situated in a private space, there might be other guests staying in other rooms during your stay. In such cases, the dining area, as well as the pool, will be shared.
- Bond with your family or colleagues over games and sporting activities such as rifle shooting, archery, badminton and basketball.
- Go on vegetable picking tours with your kids and introduce them to farming.
- Chill with your folks by the pool whilst sipping on that hot cup of chai.
- A 20-minute drive will take you to the breathtaking Nagaon beach where you can indulge in parasailing, bumpy speedboat rides, banana rides, etc.

We had a good time except for the first night in the glass room was unpleasant experience. The caretakers Krishna and Sangeeta are really very hospitable and helping especially Sangeeta who was always ready to serve with a smile
It's a nice secluded place but pretty far away from most restaurants and activities in Alibaug. Terrible approach road and overpriced
Not worth 7k as concept of glass room is good but it's built on water tank also when water is getting refilled in tank early morning it disturbs sleep of guest. It's worth 2000.
The furnitures and furnishing were very sub standard for the money which.was charged and there was no water and tea as complimentary which is basic. I loved the farm experience though.
Good Place, Great staff

The property is a good place for bonding with friends and family with a variety of games. Well maintained and clean. Staff at the property was very courteous and helpful. The washroom for the glass room is not attached and one has to climb one floor down to access the same. This is not mentioned in the description of the property on the website hence, we faced great difficulty specially with women to visit the washroom in the night time. The sales team at the time of booking and post booking was very rude and not at all helpful for resolving the issue or even compensation for the miss information / lack of information and handled the matter very unprofessionally. Highly disappointed with the behaviour of the reservations team.
Place is good. But the approach road is very bad. Food is very expensive
The staff was polite and helpful and the property was nice and peaceful. I would say that the breakfast choices could be improved. Instead of white bread, please offer multigrain bread options and also muesli. We also wanted tea bags for tea which were not available. Either please provide a tea coffee kettle in the room or the staff should be able to give English breakfast tea made from a tea bag.

Ideal for families with children enjoying open and natural play areas. Two cottages are wonderfully laid out and offers lot of landscape/ play area / open spaces for children across age group. Well curated spaces for play area, swimming pool, lawn area, badminton courts, archery etc. Property location is remote and little far from beaches. But if you are doing get together, then this ideal place. Courteous staff and prompt services deserves clap.
Enjoyed the stay with family and friends. Nice place to relax for a day or two. Very courteous owner and staff. They provided us the food with the local taste. Would recommend the property for sure.

Overall Good stay
The property was at a secluded location, in the midst of nature and exactly the way we like it. The staff was very friendly and served our needs with a smile. The food was good. They also guided us for local sight seeing as well as all the things we needed from outside as well. The only thing that could have been better was that the rooms were very far apart. Closer rooms would have been better for 3-4 families together.
Wonderful place. We visited in the monsoon. It had lush greenery around alongwith well maintained rooms. We got fresh linen daily. The meals are fingerlicking good. The glass room offers amazing view of the surrounding fields. Nagaon beach, Korlai fort and beach are all easily accessible. The staff is polite and welcoming. The only drawback is the washroom which although private but is out of the room. But u completely forget that when the hot and powerful shower makes u feel fresh and revived. Will definitely recommend!

Good break from the city- the farm has a nice charm about it. The caretakers are very nice and cooked the most delicious home cooked food. The place could be maintained well as it had too many leaks and water logging; overall we had a pleasant stay
