A guest is entitled to a refund of 50% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking 15 days or more before the start of the reservation. If the Guest cancels less than 15 days before start of the reservation, he/she is entitled to no refund. Guest Fees paid/ payable to SaffronStays are non-refundable. A reservation is considered officially 'canceled' ONLY when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find under Dashboard > Your Trips > Cancel on our website. If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to SaffronStays within 24 hours of check-in. SaffronStays will mediate when necessary and Guest and Host are required to extend their full co-operation. SaffronStays has the final say in all disputes.
Unfortunately, there is no option for part payment. Guests are required to pay 100% of the payment before check-in.
Once you have chosen your dates and your booking has been accepted, you will receive a payment link where the payment can be processed. In case you're unable to make an online payment through the link, you could also deposit the cash in our bank account directly. We also offer other options like PayTM, NEFT/IMPS or UPI.
All additional payments (such as extra meals, pet charges, etc.) will have to be paid to the caretaker onsite in cash at the end of your stay. In special circumstances, we do accept these payments through PayTM.
Things to do
The villa has a projector and a Jacuzzi. You can also enjoy romantic dinner on the deck overlooking the valley and the mountains on the west. Apart from this, the Khadakwasla Dam Backwaters and Sinhagad Fort are two tourist spots accessible from the villa. You can enjoy a trek to the fort or enjoy early morning walks around the villa. If lucky one can spot different birds and peacocks. The Splendor Country Club is 30 minutes drive from the villa where you can savor some vegetarian food. You can contact the caretaker for further details.
Yes, there is a Jacuzzi at the villa. It is a non-heated 2 feet deep Jacuzzi with 4 jets and can comfortably fit in 6 people. Guests are advised to be cautious (especially around kids).

Smoking is not allowed inside the home. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside in the garden/lawn area. Alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. We do not encourage late night revelry or loud music.
Check-in time is 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am. Please note that check-out timings are strict as we need to ready the rooms for our next booking. Guests are requested to respect the timing of other guests as well. In case you wish to check in a little early or check out a little late, do inform us at the time of booking. Additional charges will be applied. Late check-out charges includes meals (lunch).
As required by law, all adults have to provide their government-approved Photo IDs (that clearly show their residential address) at the time of Check-in. Your co-operation is of utmost importance to us.
No. Guests will only be able to access common areas on the property such as the living room, garden, jacuzzi, kitchen, etc. Guests are strictly prohibited from crossing into neighboring properties under any circumstances. How to get there
You can drive up to the property. The roads connecting to the property are decent with a few bad patches. Guests are advised to check the road and weather conditions before leaving for a road trip. Our home is cool and breezy round the year, so you could visit at anytime.
Stay and accessibility
SaffronStays Maya is approximately a 4 hour drive from Mumbai and 1.5 hour drive from Pune. If you plan to travel from Mumbai, you can take the Mumbai-Pune highway and take the exit to NH48. Continue on NH48 to reach your destination. From Pune, you can take the Sinhagad road or the NDA road to reach your destination.
Yes, our Home is child friendly. There is plenty of space to run around and many indoor activities that will keep your children occupied. Cable TV is also available. The home has been stocked with books and board games such as Chess, Scrabble, and Playing Cards. There is also a basic first-aid kit, stocked with Dettol, band-aids, etc., for minor injuries. Parents are advised to be cautious when allowing kids to run around. You can access the kitchen for preparing kid-friendly food. In case of any need, you would have to request in advance, preferably at the time of booking.
Yes, our home is senior citizen/elderly friendly. Please not that the villa has 10 steps at the entry. Upon special request, our caretakers can prepare Low Salt/ Low Spice/ Low Fat/ Low Sugar for senior citizens. These requests should be informed at the time of booking. In case of a medical emergency, the caretaker has the numbers for doctor-on-call or ambulance service-on-call. The home is ambulance accessible.

Meals including breakfast are provided onsite. They will be charged at an additional cost. You will need to inform the caretaker in advance about your meal preferences. Please note that dinner will not be served after 10 pm as the caretaker has to end his duty. The guests can access the kitchen to cook meals if they wish to. The kitchen is stocked with an Electric Kettle and Tea/Coffee, Sugar and Milk Powder sachets. You can make Tea/Coffee as required.
We offer simple home cooked meals. There is a standard menu available. You can inform the caretaker in advance about your meal preferences (veg/non-veg), specific dietary requirements, etc.
