We've had a great time at Little Paradise, cosy and serene place. The place ticks all the requirement for a perfect family vacation away from the usual urban chaos. Another advantage is the food, one can relish the yum preparation along the view of the beautiful Arabian sea. Kudos to the staff at the Little Paradise for making our vacation a memorable one. I'm definitely going to go back again!!

The stay at Little Paradise Lotus was absolutely wonderful. Our main focus was a pet friendly place, since we were taking our dog along. And this property provided the perfect cottage room. The ambience and view from the cottages is extraordinarily beautiful. The steps from the property lead directly onto the public beach, which is barely public. We almost spent our time with mostly just us on the beach. The food is delicious and the staff provided excellent service that we didn't realise how we overate during the entire stay. I will visit this property again without any doubt!

Wonderful little place close to a secluded beach. Room was well maintained and clean. The deck with the dining arrangements was amazing. The staff was very warm and sweet. They took our little requests and helped us with food for our dog. The meals prepared by the chef were outstanding. Every meal was am occasion and the food was delicious. We were there for 3 nights and could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

From the moment we walked in the entrance to SaffronStays Little Paradise, we were thoroughly hypnotized by the every little detail that actually makes this place a Little Paradise. We are really falling out of words to even describe this privilege of getting to stay there. With your partner, best friend, friends and family this place is simply perfection. Their breakfasts, brunch, lunch, supper and stuff is all by this sea facing Orchid Villa, which is breath taking. And about the food, you name it and get it, from preparation to presentation and to taste, it cannot be any better. I also would like to thank the care taker named Mr. Jehangir and his wife, who did no less in making this trip a memorable one. They have seen to it that every little thing is taken care of. Everything including the stay, food, safety, convenience was 11 on 10. You have games, plenty of place to sun bathe and relax in every part of it. Overall, this is one best place I thank God, me and my wife didn't miss out on sharing some pictures and cherishing every little moment spent here. Mr. Janghir, Mrs Fatima, Mr Surjit and Mr Ibrahm take our care like relative. So happy and place is really like little paradise

Little paradise, like any other place has its own pros and cons. Pros: 1. Location. The place is peaceful. Has beautiful view and the property is well maintained. 2. Food: one of the finest Indian food I had. The cook is a magician. Be it the quantity or taste. The food will get a smile on your face for sure. Cons: 1. Food billing: Though the staff were helpful throughout the trip, the food bill that they presented to us was dubious. I have never been to a place where for not having lunch even after informing well in advance that we wont be there for lunch gets chargeable. Yes, apparently one meal (lunch/dinner) is 500rs/ person. So for two of us, they first charged 1000 and gave us 800rs discount. So they charged us 200 for not having lunch. Sadly, they didn’t even inform us about any such thing in advance too. This we felt was nothing but disappointing. That too after a good stay there. So the owner need to fix the food charging part there. As they have 1400rs per person all meal package. You like it or not you will have to take it. Else they will charge some amount or the other for sure. 2. Toilets: there’s some serious drainage and ventilation issue with the property as the toilet will stink and there’s no proper ventilation that makes things better. Though we did ask for room fresheners. But if food biling can be looked after and the chargers as 500 for lunch is slightly too much for a person and another 400 for morning breakfast and evening tea. But even this can be well ignored if they don’t charge you for not taking their meal.

Pathetic electricity fluctuation ! The moment we entered the room, we were taken a back.! Horrible furniture and bad choice of flooring., wouldnt have even paid 2k per night for a room like that.! Such bold printed bedsheets, on a property costing worth a 5 star room., I mean 10500rs per night for a room that can't be even considered as 2 star.! Slippery floor in the bathroom., my daughter slipped and hurt her back!., we found cockroach in that dark cupboard.! AC and geyser works as per their mood and electricity fluctuations/ generators.! The gate we cross to reach the shore has bones on each sides.. and half way stairs to reach the shore. The only good thing about the entire property is the most supporting and ever ready for help staff people - jehangir and his wife fatima ! The flavoursome food andlthe view.!

    Vineet (5)
    11 Oct 2021

Voltage issues need to be resolved; hence AC was not too effective. The food is extremely overpriced. It was good, with the bengali touch but 4000 bucks for three meals for two people was a bit too much. Sure we ordered fish, but making a customer pay extra for a fish in a coastal town doesn't make sense.

Overall a decent stay. We enjoyed it. Scenic view from the property. Caretaker and the overall hospitality is really great. We would have been delighted had the property truly have a private beach as it appears in the website photographs. The property is filled with lizards and small insects, will be great if you can do a pest control regularly.

    SaffronStays Care Team

Hi Chetan, Thank you for this review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. As for lizards and insects, a pest control was arranged a week ago and thus, these insects/lizards weren't found in the rooms, as confirmed by you. The home is located very close to nature and given the climatic conditions, it is difficult to control the activities of these insects/lizards outside the room/common spaces.

Little Paradise (Lotus) SaffronStays Little Paradise nestles in the town of Murud and is at a distance of 4.5 hours from Mumbai. They have three Beachfront Wooden Cabins and I stayed in Lotus with my friends. I loved the rustic wooden decor of this place and the wooden chairs & khaat outside the Cabins. There are a lot of sightseeing spots nearby like the Murud Janjira Fort, Murud Beach, Khokhari Tombs and Khar Amboli Dam. A beautiful place to visit with friends and family 😍

Lovely place tucked in a quiet corner, ideal for a private getaway. Of course there are three cottages which you share with others but we had amazing neighbors. We had a wonderful time and so did our 3 year old who loved the place as well. Service and food are delightful. The staff is ever willing to meet your demands. Caretaker Jahangir and his wife Fatima who makes fantastic food are very hospitable. Special mention to Alamin who was troubled by my little one to remove the boomerang from the roof n number of times. He always obliged. Yes there are small niggling issues which I spoke to the host about who was very understanding and I am sure would act upon them asap. All in all, loved the place, had a super time and would probably visit again.

    08 Jul 2021

Great views of the sea and well maintained property. Cosy and clean rooms. Caretaker was always around to tend to every need. Food is prepared by the caretakers wife and is good. We placed a request for crabs while we were there and the caretaker and his wife prepared it for us. Overall would highly recommend. The only downside is because of a road that has been recently constructed - the beach has been encroached upon. There is no direct access to the beach now. There is an access 5 mins walk across the road and there are several other beaches close by. Highly recommend for people wishing for a getaway with a great views, good food and tranquil surroundings.

    27 Jun 2021

Staff, view from room, breeze and food was excellent. However there are some issues one must be aware before going here. Tulip and lotus are enjoined and share verandah. You can hear your neighbours. If there is loud kid in the other room, you basically vacation with the kid now. The window in bathroom of Lotus is too translucent even with the curtain. Not suitable for ladies. Orchid is attached to property kitchen and probably gets noisy with all the cooking. There is no beach at the property. There is a promenade. The approach to which is not well maintained and is marshy and full of weeds atleast in monsoon. The ground areas on property have also been taken over by weeds currently. I won't rank It high for couples. Probably a good place for small families to enjoy sea breeze and good food. Route via Indapur is much better than Roha or Alibaug. Staff was excellent.

This turned out to be exactly as we had desired. We were looking for a peace and rested holiday by the beach. And Little Paradise delivered on that. It is nestled away at the corner of Agardanda, a quaint non descript village, with no other commercial property around it. The only other activity is the silent whirring of the boats from the jetty nearby - on the hour every hour. A great way to keep time as laze and stare into the silent and calm sea. The chalets were decent and clean. Some of the furniture could do with an upgrade and the bathroom with a servicing of the plumbing. But nothing that brings life to a halt or inconveniences oneself. The property has nice lawns to walk around and for children to play. Nature is in abundance from plants, trees, flowers, squirrels, birds, parrots, swans, geese, frogs and lizards - they help keep the mosquitos in check. The disappointment was the access to the beach, a new road leading to the jetty is being constructed on the beach right in fro t of the property thereby cutting the dofect access to the beach. It now needs a little trek through makeshift flight of stairs on either side of the under construction jetty road. The beach is a quiet small patch with no commercial activity thankfully. The food at the property cooked by the caretaker - Jehangir’s wife Fatima was delicious. They cook with love and seve with love using nice cutlery. From vegeterian to Non vegeterian everything tasted superb. We enjoyed all the meals thorougly. The entire staff Jehangir, Salman and Alamin tool great care of us and were always happy to help. If you would like to then there are few activities and places to visit nearby like Murud Beach, Diveghar and Kashid. We were happy to doing very little and mostly spending time enjoying the views, quiet and food. Best to plan a 3 night 4 day trip atleast. Thank you Akash and Pinky from saffronstays. Thank you Jehangir, Fatima, Salman and Alamin. And thank you Brahma .

Had an amazing stay with saffron stay last week. If you are looking for a scenic and peaceful cottage stay just at the beach, then this would be a wonderful choice. The resort is at a isolated place near murud, so if you are looking for a stay that is not crowded you can go for this. Another aspect worth mentioning is their food. The care taker family over there cooks really delicious food which you can enjoy at the bank of sea shore. I will definitely visit the resort again.

We had visited the Little Paradise on the 19th of Feb and spent two days at this beautiful property. The location is just awesome and we enjoyed the interrupted view of the sea from our balcony. It was a perfect dream come true type of vacation experience. The property was excellently maintained as well as the staff maintained a great level of cleanliness n hygiene. A get away from city life requires such great location, a sense of aloofness as well as serenity. Would definitely come back again as well as suggest others for the same

    Prathamesh (4)
    15 Feb 2021

The location is excellent and staff is friendly. However, the room need more work. It lacks basic amenities like provision of milk n sugar sachet if tea kettle is provided. The room lighting needs to be reworked. Very common voltage fluctuations. The bathroom is big letdown, not good plumbing. There is only provision of shower, no tap provided. The water was leaking in toilet and no exhaust. Also, the major issue there is no clear indication that rooms 'Lotus' and "Tulip' are part of same cottage with common balcony. Even on the website Orchid photos were added into these room description. Overall, if you're looking to spend 10k/night (including food) on a room, it's not worth it.

The location is very pretty. The sun sets exactly in front of the property ..perfect place for that cup of coffee to watch the sunset. Isolated cottages so easier in covid as well. The staff is really good and helpful. They take any requests for special food items and are very humble. Both Salman and Alameen are great hosts and Sharad is an amazing cook. The negative side of this place is the structure and condition of the cottages itself. It’s a pretty old construction because of which there are rats in the walls. As the place is next to the water there are a lot of insects and mosquitoes; it would be easier if the property owner adds some mesh for the windows or insect killers for the evenings.

Overall very satisfactory. Felt a bit underwhelmed against the premium pricing paid. But the caretaker and food was absolutely spot on though limited in variety. Initially disappointed to notice that the website or Saffron Stays official website did not underline the fact that the location is not directly connected to the beach, as shown in the videos n pictures. There's a coast guard private road being built between the venue and beach on a reclaimed land which means that you get to walk across the road only during late low tide times ONLY. That was a big downer. The villas artificial celing had rats running around whole night and the verandah/balcony has dozens of lizards hovering around our meals underneath. Nothing untoward happened but felt a let down given the expectation. But overall a good experience.

Great place to visit and amazing to rewind at. Went with family, and while close to important spots to visit it still is secluded enough to allow for some family private time. Appreciate the personal care provided by Jehangir and his team, the food and hospitality was top class!

The staff is fantastic. The Central team needs to be more proactive about guiding about the location. It's difficult to locate , there are no boards that are clearly visible. Plus, it needs to be clearly communicated about which route is preferable. We followed Google maps and that route was terrible. We received a message from the owner at 2 pm about the preferred route but it was already too late by then. Plus, photos of the beach are misleading, There is hardly any beach left after the rocks being placed there. You should be transparent about the location. Such sneakiness is unwarranted.

Overall cottage is very good, However Location wise not worth the cost. It is in Murud that too not on actual beach but embarking a marine marine bay. So definitely not worth the cost. Lot of open space is just vacant and at this cost at least some outdoor activities could have been fitted.

Little Paradise We have stayed here for two days with kids on Valentine's evening and a day more. First and foremost I would like to say, the name of this place should be changed to the ULTIMATE PARADISE. As L. Boyer had said "Paradise isn't a place. It's a FEELING." It is so apt for this place. Once you enter to this place, you can feel it. First time my words seems so tiny to express my feelings for this place. Many things I would like to say and share about our stay at this place. Pros - Amazingly beautiful place - Superb hospitality - Super friendly staffs on the ground - Home cooked delicious food of our choice - Place with almost all western amenities - Homely feeling - Private beach with super cleanliness where one could just sit, listen to the sound of waves, enjoy the beautiful sea view and relax. - Last but not the least, Muneera the owner. Special thanks to you, you have made our stay a real beautiful experience. She had sent the exact loc

I had been with my wife to this place and we stayed for 2 days. This place is like a paradise in dream. We just loved the place and never wanted to go back to mumbai. The place looks more beautiful in real then in pictures. I recommend to visit this place in monsoon as it has the best breeze and lovely climate to be with your loved ones.

I visited the Little Paradise mid July.. I think there is no better time than the monsoons to be here... The caretakers were so hospitable... The beach was beautiful and the stay at Little Paradise was near to perfect. Of all the places that i have explored in and around Maharashtra, i think this has been the best vacation ever ! The highlight of this destination is the serenity that you encounter while on the way ! The hills... waterfalls... flowing river on the side of the road.... All of it is just beautiful..!!

We had a wonderful time at this calm secluded place. The host shared us the exact location and its easy to reach. We get our own private beach where we could just sit and listen to the sound of waves. There is a swing in the front to enjoy the beautiful sea view. The caretakers made us very good food, of our choice. They were always accesible. A perfect getaway if you are looking for a peaceful time

Wanting a short break, just we as a couple with our small pet dachshund, we were looking for a beach place that was not a typical tourist destination and a few hours drive from Pune. Agardanda Little Paradise seemed to offer all that and a call to Vrinda helped us finalise in just an hour. Smooth booking process and very helpful directions, got us there for 2 nights 7th and 8th May. The caretakers (there is Jahangir with his wife Fatima and their colleague Sashikant) are all just so courteous and respectful. Non intrusive service at its best. The best of holidays can be ruined by some grumpy staff behavior. Here the joy is enhanced by the sheer old world charm of these folks The cottages are a charm - all wooden and rustic but with all modern amenities and comforts. The evenings cool after hot days and the nights afford the bliss of solitude with nothing but the breaking of waves on the priavte beach just 50 meters away. Yes, a warning - if you want a lazy morning, keep ear plugs

This is a small property hidden inside the Konkan belt near Murud. Surrounded by coconut groove on one side and sea / creek on the other makes it really a nice location. The property is clean and well maintained. The caretakers are very prompt and always ready to help. The food is delicious and is served warm every day. Overall a great place to unwind over great views of sea and the sunset with your favourite book and coffee mug.!!

My wife and I had a great time. It was exactly what we needed getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The soothing sounds of the waves crashing, birds chirping, butterflies floating and the beautifully maintained property. The food (non-veg) was pretty good too. The only time we were left a bit disappointed was when there was frequent power cuts post midnight on our last night of stay. Now, there is a generator backup but when we tried calling the caretaker to turn it on, his phone was switched off. So, it was a bit hot and uncomfortable. My wife was a bit scared too. But other than that we were really happy with our caretaker and his team. They did a great job and because of that, we are already planning to go back again.

A bit difficult to reach the place, but once you reach, worth the effort. Good food, location is SUPER. Chotu the caretaker was very helpful and courteous. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 kids and we thoroughly enjoyed this place. It's isolated, serene and perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy company. Below are some pros and cons. Pros 1. The bungalows are clean and beds were comfortable. 2. AC in every room which was a blessing. 3. Food made by the cook was nice. 4. There were four support staff, who were attentive to our every request. 5. Cook would take request for the meal and prepare the food accordingly. 6. Easy access to the beach. 7. Besides couple of plastic bottles, the beach and water was clean. Kids played for hours at the beach 8. Beautiful property with lots of open space for kids to play and explore. 9. Kids were entertained by the Geese, hen and dogs that live in the property. 10.The caretaker sprayed bug spray every evening, so bugs were very less. 11. Amazing sunset view. The mountains in the background make the view from the beach magical. 12. We were allowed to put our stuff in the refrigera

A beautiful place nestled in a peaceful environment with an adjoining beach which can be considered as a private beach as it seems less accessible by outsiders. It has small farms as its neighbors which add to the beauty and adds up to your experience. They have a couple of dogs and ducks on the property which is an added bonus if you're fond of it. The host Muneera is sweet and will always be available for all the things you need, that is before you reach the property. Once you reach the property, the on-site staff, lead by Jahangir, takes care of the tiniest of things, We celebrated our anniversary and Muneera went out of the way and surprised us with a cake. If you are a person/couple seeking solitude, the host has crafted the place for you!

An isolated property just 10steps away from the beach of agardanda, one would doubt if they they are driving into nowhere. The journey itself was a nice experience driving through twisted roads, greens & hills. Would recommend to leave early morning to visit temple and eateries in Roha. Their property is huge with simple wooden villa's which have maintained their hygiene including the washroom. The view & sounds of beach with greenery of property is very calming & scenic. During monsoon you can hear the winds whistle and with such strong winds coming through the sea we could barely manage to stand. With no amenities of city-life one can take a walk along the shore line, gaze at the night sky, play with friendly pets of the owner. Would recommend to carry a movie, board games to take advantage of connecting more with your better half in such a quiet & calm place. They have a big lawn where one can organise a mini picnic lunch. The food was simple in taste just like home

I had a wonderful weekend with my parents at Little Paradise Villa, Murud. I second everything in the previous reviews. It is an idyllic place for a quiet timeout from Mumbai/Pune. The caretaker family is very efficient, helpful, paid a lot of attention to hygiene & cleanliness. The food was absolutely yummy and customized to each of our preferences! I had mentioned about my birthday when I booked, and they arranged a cake for me - the place is so remote, must've taken a lot of planning & effort, much appreciated! We will be back again with more family & friends for sure :) Please ensure that you take the route via Kelhar & Shighre to reach Agardanda, right now, that is the road with the least potholes!

Awesome place. Good food. Clean and neat Villa. Wish to thank Munira for arranging the decoration of the villa and cake for our anniversary. We absolutely loved our stay at Munira’s property in Murud. We were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) along with our pet dog. The cottage was cute and sufficient for us. The major positive was the proximity to the beach. Although the water smelled heavily of kerosene becoz of the refineries. That didn’t stop our children and dog to play in the water repeatedly. The caretakers went above and beyond to make sure our needs were being met. The drive from Navi Mumbai took about 4 hours. Next time we will stay 2 nights since a 1 night stay led us to wanting more. The biggest positives were the awesome homemade food, attentive caretakers, beach access, lovely garden with a swing, and plenty of room for my children and dog to run around! We will definitely visit again!

Peaceful place with a beautiful view from your Villa. The home cooked food was yummy especially lip smacking non veg food served by care taker. An ideal place to spend weekend with your loved ones. For people in Mumbai & Navi Mumbai, It is advisable to take Vadkhal naka->Alibaug-->Murud route to reach to the destination in less time. The route from expressway-->Imagica can extend your journey by at least 3hrs as the roads are not in good condition and local people are not much aware about the exact location. We would like to highlight that post reaching to the destination Host Munira was not answering/reachable over the phone till the time we left that place. Hence considering destination is situated at Isolated place, we expect SaffronStays to share at least one backup HOST contact details with the guests & also urge guests to ask for backup Host details during booking so that in case of any help/emergency guest can easily contact them. Thanks SaffronStays!!!

If you're looking to get away from city life for a weekend, this is the perfect place to go to. Around 4 hours from Bombay, this beautiful property is on the isolated stretch of the Murud beach. We went during the monsoons, when the weather was absolutely wonderful and to complement that, we had some lovely food cooked by the caretakers. The host Munira and her husband are extremely helpful, and provided us with detailed directions. Overall we had a fantastic stay, and would definitely recommend this place for a long weekend!

We had a wonderful stay. Jahangir fatima and Rihanna were a complete delight. The food was delicious and the place was very well maintained. Though for the extra bed i.e. floor mattresses, we thought 7 extra grand was a bit steep! But I would definitely recommend this as a perfect weekend getaway. And do take the roha route - we tried both alibaug as well as roha - and roha turned out to be much scenic and a better option.

If you are looking for a peaceful place away from the madness of this city, this is the place to be. Tucked in a quiet village of Murud, this is indeed a paradise. The onwer is very nice to talk to and ensures that you have a comfort stay (rather a homely stay). Your meal requirements are well taken care of (even if you are travelling with kids). The care taker is helpful. The drive to the place is not pleasant, thanks to our state highways, however this place is worth the pain.

Awesome place at a fantastic location. A bit of a long drive for a weekend gateway but well worth it once you get there. Make it an nighter and itge drive won't be a bother. The place is scerene, with picture postcard views from your room verandah. An almost private beach in front of you to dip your legs in the waves. 2 nights here and all your stress is gone. There is simple home cooked food which is ideal. A welcome change from the usual hotel room commercialised breaks everyone is used to. My first honesty and must say the experience has been superb. The owner didn't exaggerate one bit when she called this a "Little Paradise". A couple of gorgeous cottages right next to the beach, facing the upcoming Digha port, about 1 hour's drive from Murud. Very secluded, perfect for a relaxing weekend stay away from the maddening crowds and pollution of Mumbai. While getting there is a slight pain, even with a car - a stretch of bad roads in the middle - once you get there, it's worth every pothole you had to navigate. We reached Agardanda at 11 AM, settled in by noon, after a lavish fish lunch - spent the afternoon enjoying the vista. A trip to the Murud-Janjira fort, another round of snacks in the evening, and a brilliant dinner were all highlights of one of the best mini-vacations I have had. The caretaker and his wife were extremely helpful and their toddler daughter was a delight. Although she was travelling, Muneera was very committed to making our stay was pleasurable. It was my first time I went to Beachfront and I feel that I met the real paradise. We pulled up to the house and the first impression is simply picturesque standing on the deck built out from the house's living room overlooking the ocean - nothing beats that !! This house offers everything you need for an amazing quiet retreat on the water and I am definitely coming back to stay here again and re-experience the friendliness of the people that resides there, the astounding and unspoiled nature and the rare tranquility that is just so hard to find in today's hectic everyday life. I would recommend for everyone who is thinking about spend a time by the sea, enjoying a beautiful island nature. The house is comfortable and perfect to host a family. The weekend that my my parents and I spent at the Little Paradise on the Beach, will be one of the most beautiful memories of our family. It was serene and quaint, just what we needed! Little Paradise literally rescued us from the city craze and gave us a much needed break. Nestled amidst trees and the beach, it feels like you have walked into a story book! All I could hear for my time there were the birds chirping and the soft gushing of the waves. The beach is not the usual commercial or huge beaches that you would generally visit, this one is almost like a small private beach with no strangers walking in and out on it. You will be amazed to find yourself as the only ones to be on the entire stretch of the small beach! The food is simple, home cooked and delicious and is served at your pleasure. We had a wonderful experience right from the booking of this 'Little Paradise'!!! I was a little sceptical in the beginning of the trip as to the cleanliness aspect of a homestay. But my fears were put to rest. The place was spic n span and I couldn't have asked for more. The warmth of the host showed right from the directions given to reach their place and the hospitality they showered on us was an icing on the cake!! And the location of the homestay is just superb. We stayed at this Villa earlier this August. It actually provides a perfect setting for the being at the beach in the monsoon. The cottages have a spacious porch where you sit sipping your chai with samosas and look out at the endless sea. Sitting all day on that swing and reading a book; every now and then you look up at the landscape of coconut trees, serene beach and the sun playing hide and seek - it's a perfect time capsule. And a small drive away from the creature comforts is the small fishing village of Murud with the Janjira fort. It's quaintly lively and worth a visit. The Host and Kezar made us feel completely comfortable. They are by far the friendliest hosts we've come across. We didn't have to worry about anything, including the drive from Mumbai and back. Jasmine and team, including the roosters and the 4 geese (whom we fondly called John, Paul, George and Ringo) kept us entertained and well-fed through our stay. We haven't been much around Mumbai, given we live

Little Paradise was just the thing that we needed to get away from Bombay for a quiet relaxed weekend. The location was stunning with beautiful views of the beach right from our front porch. The beach was practically for our private use with the exception of a few stray dogs and some goats and we thoroughly enjoyed running with our dog on the beach. The caretakers were very friendly and attentive to our requests and served us simple but delicious food including a very tasty prawn dish and some chicken biryani. Our host The Host was extremely helpful right from the time of making a reservation till after the time we left the property. She instructed the staff to take care of a few dietary restrictions that we had and messaged me from time to time to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. Overall we had an excellent stay and have already recommended the place to some of our friends and family. Our dog enjoyed the property and the beach so much that she was reluctant to leave and w

The idea of going for a holiday was to relax and unwind from daily routine. This one for us was special because it was first Holiday for our 7 month old daughter and after a year we were going for any vacation. To begin with I would say I was lucky enough to find Saffron Stays website and in that could zero in on Little Paradise as it turned out to be the Perfect set-up we wanted. It was like the whole thing was customized exactly for our needs. The location which is right on the beach (yes it is actually like that). Next thing the wooden cottages with all the required amenities of luxury stay, the calmness of location, the food which was just apt for kids and the last and best part was the service. The caretakers of the place were extremely generous and polite. They extended all the help and service they could do. I never heard them say No for anything or giving any excuse for not doing anything. One of the best service I have received. One can take each and every word mentioned in Ow

First of all the drive was spectacular!....50 shades of green all around...misty mountains...paddy fields...followed by the stretch of wild sea at Kashid and Murud (Although this bit was a detour we went on by mistake, but nevertheless very enjoyable). The drive back from Agardanda straight to Roha (the correct route) was super spectacular as well....a bit winding but you had lush green mountains on one side and the sea on the other. Truly unique. This was my first foray at a homestay and was very lucky to have a host as warm and helpful as The Host who was ensuring everything was taken care of. The stay was everything we wanted a quiet lazy beach side holiday to be.We were guests at The Host's breathtakingly beautiful home next to the sea.The rooms were lovely, quaint decor and very tasteful.Very thoughtful touches of fragrant linen, playing cards, candles, comfy easy chairs, a rocking chair and a very cozy charpai to ensure you have a very lazy existence. We received a very warm w

This was an outcome of a much needed break. Between jobs, needing to recharge, get away from the city for a while and what a break it was. Getting off the expressway and driving through scenic cloud shrouded mountains was just a small step compared to the awesomeness that was in reaching the cottage. I had long conversations with The Host (the owner) about how to reach and what to expect. As friendly as she is, she is no great salesperson. Three and a half hours from Mumbai, I was expecting a cottage a walk away from the beach and just another serviced room kind of a setup. We were met at the gate by the exceedingly helpful and cheerful housekeeper, and truth be told i was kind of apprehensive. All that disappears, when you meet his wife and the amazing food she cooks. The food, the dessert, the setting, their promptness, try as i might I couldn't fault them for a thing. (And I'm in general a cynical man). The view of the sea is something else, it never seemed so real, the tides - yo

Nestled admist the green and filled with the echoes of the rhythmic lashing of the waves of the Murud beach front, this quaint tastefully done wooden cottage is a perfect getaway for the leisure traveller who wants to shy away from conventionality & is looking for a totally relaxing & soul refreshing experience close to nature! We drove from Thane and enjoyed the drive through the mountains and meadows to reach Agardanda. The cottage was very well maintained... simple, cozy and inviting with all necessities careful laid in place. The tastefully planned layout of the porch, the garden with cute farm pets (ducks and hens), especially the grand swing facing the sea front completed the picture perfect setting. For beach lovers, what more would we want than to be able to walk into the waters just 10 meters away from the cottage! Or, open our eyes in the morning to the lashing sound of the waves! Or, just sit on the porch with steaming coffee and watch the sun go down into the se

There are some vacations that are once-in-a-lifetime experiences and there are others that make you want to come back for more . Our vacation at Murud was definitely a bit of both . We fell in love with the place the moment we saw it on the saffronstays website , but little did we expect it to be so full of character and charm . With a location like that , facing the sea , it's very own stretch of private ( well, almost) beach , surrounded by coconut plantations , splattered with beautiful ducks and chickens in the front yard - it is sheer relaxation . We traveled along with another family and hence, having two adjoining rooms with a long shared verandah allowed us many lovely conversations to bond on .The flora ,fauna on the property , the swing , beach ,verandah and the charpai -- all contributed to keeping our kids very very busy & off our territory. The rooms are well furnished with wooden antique furniture and extremely hygienic & well sanitized . The care taker couple are

A very nice option for a quiet getaway with friends/family. The road to the village is amazing as well- specially the last bit through some really dense forests.

This charming place has got it all....over three days we just chilled out and relished the privacy, great views of the backwater, fantastic facilities and awesome food. At the end of the stay we felt we could do with a few days more!! Highly recommended for families with toddlers - mother's will have access to a clean and modern kitchen. The place is close to most attractions - 9km to Murud, 25km to Kashid and 28km to Diveagar (if the ferry is available). Host, The Host, will go out of her way to make your stay comfortable. She took care of everything...including our daily menu!! We are looking forward to enjoying this place again in the monsoon and winter season this year.
