Yes, the estate has open grounds that could be used for outdoor picnics. Please note that the maximum capacity for an overnight stay is 14 people and that meals will be provided on site at an additional charge (per person, per meal). 

During the day, guests will be allowed to use the washrooms and other amenities at the villa. The home is also stocked with indoor games like Pictionary, Jenga, UNO, chess, etc. for the use of guests. 

Depending on the event, you are allowed to erect a small stage, stall or tent for your event purpose.

Can I reserve your place for special functions such as engagement ceremony, a small wedding ceremony or a birthday party, etc?

Yes, we do allow events at the villa, subject to Home Owner's approval. Meals can be arranged at an additional cost (per person, per day). Please note that a maximum of 14 people can be accommodated at the estate for an overnight stay. 

Depending on the event and its requirements, a refundable deposit and additional charges may be applied. Please note that loud music (if needed for your function) will only be permitted during certain hours. Any other permissions required for photoshoot/functions will need to be taken by the guests themselves.

Breakfast is inclusive in the tariff. Yes, all meals are provided onsite at an additional cost. Fish and mutton preparations shall be charged extra, at actuals which are payable in cash to the caretaker onsite. Guests are requested to inform the same in advance so that our caretakers can procure the ingredients. Tea/Coffee will be served during breakfast and evening tea time. If you would like tea/coffee at any other time of the day, it can be arranged at an additional charge.

What is the type of cuisine served?

We serve lip-smacking South Indian, Continental & Chinese meals. We highly recommend trying our Sri Lankan cusine as well. Guests are requested to mentioned their food preferences at the time of booking.  There is also a facility for barbecues onsite (both veg/non-veg) which can be arranged at an additional cost.

Is outside food allowed? Are we allowed to cook ourselves?

No, guests are not allowed to access the kitchen.  However, mothers of infants or small children will have limited access to boil milk or prepare their kids meals.

Can I pay the caretaker some extra money and request the Cook to prepare fish or mutton dishes for us?

Yes.  Fish and mutton preparations shall be charged extra, at actuals which are payable in cash to the caretaker onsite.  Please note that this will be subject to availability of ingredients. Guests are requested to inform the same in advance so that our caretakers can procure the ingredients.

Yes, alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. There is ample ice stocked in the fridge.

Snacks and other beverages can be arranged if advance notice is given to the caretaker. This amount will need to be paid to the onsite caretaker in cash, at the end of your stay.

No, loud music is not permitted.  Guests are requested to consider the comfort of the other guests on the premises.  Should you wish to play mild music in your room, do carry along portable speakers.

What are the Check-in & Check-out timings? May I request for late check-outs or an early check-in?

Check-in time at 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am. Please note that check-out timings are strict as we need to ready the rooms for our next booking. Guests are requested to respect the timing of other guests as well. In case you wish to check in a little early or check out a little late, do inform us at the time of booking.  Additional charges will be applied.

Are we allowed to access all areas?

No. Guests will only be able to access common areas on the estate such as the communal TV lounge, gardens, etc.   Guests are strictly prohibited from crossing into neighboring properties under any circumstances.  We request our guests to respect the privacy and personal space of our neighbors.

The closest airport is Coimbatore. From there, guests can catch a taxi or board a State Transport bus.

HERE" > A Guest is entitled to a refund of 75% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking upto 15 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM).

If the Guest cancels within 7 days of the Date of Check-In, he/she is entitled to no refund.

How can I make a payment?

All payments for booking the villa, including meals will have to be pre-paid prior to checkin. Security Deposit collected during booking will be returned during check-out or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out, provided no damages are observed. To avoid inconvenience, we will not be accepting cash onsite for any reasons henceforth.

Please note: The Security Deposit is subject to change depending upon the number of nights and the group size. Please check with your holiday advisor at the time of booking.

No, our home does not face any power issues. Should there be a power failure, a backup genset has been installed. In extreme circumstances, like power issues due to heavy rains during the entire day, the backup power may also burn out beyond a point. But for normal usage, the backup power would be good to go.

Is this home child-friendly?

Yes, our Home is child friendly.  

There is plenty of space to run around and the house has been stocked with board games such as Pictionary, Monopoly, Jenga, Chess and Table Tennis, to keep kids occupied. If needed, there is also a basic first-aid kit, stocked with Dettol and Band-Aid etc., for minor injuries. 

While guests are not allowed to use the kitchen, mothers of infants will be permitted to prepare small meals or boil milk.

Is this home senior citizen friendly?

Yes, our home is senior citizen friendly. 

We have bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms on the ground floor which are easily accessible to seniors. Please note that there are about 4 steps at the entrance of the home. 

Upon special  request, our caretakers can prepare Low Salt/ Low Spice/ Low Fat/ Low Sugar for senior citizens. These requests should be informed at the time of booking. 

In case of a medical emergency, the caretaker has the numbers for doctor-on-call or ambulance service-on-call.

Milton Abbott is a gorgeous 4.5 acre estate, ideal for scenic long walks. For those who like to walk, the Indu Films factory is a short distance from the estate. You can also visit the neighboring golf course for a day on the greens.  For those who prefer to stay in, there is a lovely space on the property where bonfires can be arranged at an additional cost of Rs. 500 per event.
