If you're travelling from Mumbai, exit the Mumbai-Pune expressway at Kusgaon which is after the Lonavla exit. Get on to the old Bombay-Pune highway (NH-4). After passing the village of Kamshet, turn left after the Lalit Nursery at Kanhe Phata. Keep going until you cross Takwe drive. Half a kilometer, turn right at a board that says Bhoire. Keep driving until you spot a signboard that says "L'attitude" or ask the locals for Mitti ka Ghar.
Yes, L'attitude is a lakefront home with plenty of abundant open space for children to play and run around. Since this villa is located in a rustic village (Kanhe), parents are advised to be vigilant about rare sightings of insects, frogs, rodents or snakes when allowing children to run free in the surroundings. Please note that we do not offer Wi-Fi services. However, the home is well-stocked with board games & books that both children and adults will enjoy. If needed, our cook can prepare special dishes for children such as pastas, soups, cereal, Bournvita, hot milk etc. These should be requested in advance, at the time of booking. In the case of infants, mothers will be permitted to use the kitchen to prepare their meals.
Yes, this home is senior citizen friendly. The home has two levels: ground floor and first floor. The entire ground floor is wheelchair friendly and contains a living room, verandah and two bedrooms with attached bathrooms. A flight of 8-10 stairs leads up to the first level bedroom. The driveway allows doorstep access to cars. In case of an emergency, a first aid kit is available at the villa. There is also a hospital nearby with ambulance service. Contact numbers are kept with the caretaker.
Yes, the entire ground floor of the villa is wheelchair friendly. There are two bedrooms with attached bathrooms on the ground floor and the driveway allows doorstep access to cars. Please note that there is also a first floor level that can be accessed by a flight of 8-10 stairs.
No, this home is not suitable for pets.
Aside from the three bedrooms, there are three extra beds (two on first floor & one in the living room) and 4 extra mattresses with bedding available. The mattresses will be laid out on the floor.
All bedrooms are furnished with a king size bed. Two of the bedrooms have also been furnished with a four poster bed. Blankets, duvets and bed runners are provided for every bed.
Yes, we prove toiletries and towels. The bath linen is replaced every three days.
There are no air-conditioners installed in this villa. The house has been constructed using environmentally friendly materials, ensuring that it remains cool year round.
The house does not provide Internet or WiFi. 2G network is available inside the house. 3G network is available in and around the verandah.
There is a power outage every Thursday. A backup 10 KvA diesel generator is available and can support power production for 18-20 hours. Kindly use electric appliances and fixtures efficiently and only if necessary.
Fumigation is carried out by the caretaker every evening. Guests are requested to keep their windows shut in the evenings from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. In addition, all windows and doors have a protective netting. While we stock Odomos at the villa, we advise guests to carry it along.
Food and Beverages
Yes, fresh, home-cooked meals are prepared at the villa by our cook. While breakfast, morning and afternoon Tea/ Coffee are complimentary, any extra orders shall be chargeable as per the menu card. Lunch/Dinner will be at an additional cost. Meal timings are as follows: Breakfast (8.30 am to 10. 30 am), Lunch (1.00 pm to 3.00 pm) & Dinner (8.30 pm to 10.00 pm). Please note that the kitchen will be shut after 10.00 pm.
The menu includes local Maharashtrian food . A few select Continental dishes can be served if requested a few days in advance.
Lunch/dinner is priced at Rs. 400 for vegetarians and Rs. 500 for non-vegetarians. These will be charged per person, per meal and should be paid to the caretaker in cash at the end of your stay.
This villa does not allow outside food. Guests are not permitted to access the kitchen.
Yes, you can use the common fridge to store food/beverages. In case there are other guests on site, please adjust and use the common fridge accordingly.

Yes, consumption of alcohol is permitted within limits. The villa does provide ice cubes, an ice bucket, tongs and glassware. Snacks and other beverages can be provided upon request at an additional charge.
This is not a self-catering villa.
A guest is entitled to a refund of 50% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking 15 days or more before the start of the reservation. If the Guest cancels less than 15 days before start of the reservation, he/she is entitled to no refund. Guest Fees paid/ payable to SaffronStays are non-refundable. A reservation is considered officially 'canceled' ONLY when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find under Dashboard > Your Trips > Cancel on our website. If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to SaffronStays within 24 hours of check-in. SaffronStays will mediate when necessary and Guest and Host are required to extend their full co-operation. SaffronStays has the final say in all disputes.
Unfortunately, there is no option for part payment. Guests are required to pay 100% of the payment before check-in.
Once you have chosen your dates and your booking has been accepted, you will receive a payment link where the payment can be processed. In case you're unable to make an online payment through the link, you could also deposit the cash in our bank account directly. We also offer other options like PayTM, NEFT/IMPS or UPI.
All additional payments (such as extra meals, pet charges, etc.) will have to be paid to the caretaker onsite in cash at the end of your stay. In special circumstances, we do accept these payments through PayTM.
Security deposit is to be paid at the time of booking/ check-in. If no damages are observed, the deposit will be returned during check-out itself or by NEFT within 2 business days after check-out.
Things to do
There are 3 paragliding schools & a hot air balloon rental in Kamshet. One may choose to register for a solo flying course or enjoy a tandem joyride. In addition, Camp Water's Edge provides kayaking and other water sports facilities. Numbers for various attractions have been placed with the caretaker. For those who like to shop, there are two local bazaars nearby: Kanhe Market on Monday and Talegaon Market on Thursday where guests can pick up local souvenirs.

There is no beach nearby. However, this villa is built on the shores of a lake.
This home is located on the shores of the Andre Dam Reservoir with a lake 100 metres away from the property. The water is clean, potable and safe. However, guests are advised to be cautious when stepping into the lake as the slope is steep.
No, loud music is not permitted. However, guests may use the Bluetooth speakers available at the villa for their entertainment.
Yes, smoking is allowed but strictly not inside the home. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside in the garden/lawn area. Alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. We do not encourage late night revelry or loud music.
Check-in time at 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am. Please note that check-out timings are strict as we need to ready the rooms for our next booking. Guests are requested to respect the timing of other guests as well. In case you wish to check in a little early or check out a little late, do inform us at the time of booking. Additional charges will be applied. Late check-out charges includes meals (lunch).
As required by law, all adults have to provide their government-approved Photo IDs (that clearly show their residential address) at the time of Check-in. Your co-operation is of utmost importance to us.
No. Guests will only be able to access common areas on the property such as the living room, garden, private pool (if any), etc. Guests are strictly prohibited from crossing into neighboring properties under any circumstances. We request our guests to respect the privacy and personal space of our neighbors.
The common areas of the property are under CCTV surveillance and the caretaker's family resides in the outhouse.
There are 16 cameras installed in the common areas of the property, excluding washrooms and bedrooms.
A couple of domesticated stray dogs tend to visit this villa. Rest assured, they have been properly inoculated.

Yes, we do have a first-aid kid onsite, stocked with Dettol, band-aids and over-the-counter medicines like Metacin, Crocin etc.
How to get there
This home is easily accessible by car and approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Mumbai.
One may board the inter-city trains starting from Dadar or CST, Mumbai and heading towards Pune, alighting at Kanhe station. Alternatively, buses are available till Lonavala. One may hire a local taxi thereafter. Kamshet is 105 kms or approximately 2.5 hours from Mumbai.
This villa is managed by the owner herself, aided by the caretaker.
