Yes, although currently this has been suspended due to COVID. A day picnic for up to 40 people can be organised. However, overnight accommodation can be arranged for a maximum of 21 individuals only. Guests will be permitted to use the home and its amenities during the duration of their stay.

Can I reserve your place for special functions such as engagement ceremony, a small wedding ceremony or a birthday party, etc?

Yes, we do allow the place to be reserved for special occasions / events, subject to approval. Meals can be arranged at an additional cost (per person, per day). Depending on the event and its requirements, a refundable security deposit shall be applied. Any other permissions required for photo shoot/functions will need to be taken. 
Please note that a maximum of 21 people can be accommodated in the villa for an overnight stay.

Can I reserve your Home for a few weeks for a Film or a Photo or an Advertisement shoot?

No, we don't allow the home to be reserved for professional shoots.

Can I book only one or two rooms, or do I need to book the entire Home?

You have to book minimum 4 rooms or the entire home, depending upon the number of people travelling with you.

Are meals provided onsite?

Accepted Answer

Meals can be availed at an extra cost. The meal charges per person per day are Rs. 1500. This includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Children (6-12) are charged at Rs. 800 per head per day.
The meal charges are payable in cash to the caretaker at site. 
Fish and mutton preparations shall be charged extra, at actuals. Please inform in advance, to allow our caretaker to procure the same.

Meal timings are as follows: Breakfast (8.30 am to 10. 30 am), Lunch (1.00 pm to 3.00 pm) & Dinner (8.30 pm to 10.00 pm). Please note that the kitchen will be shut after 10.00 pm.

A Toaster, Microwave & Electric Kettle is available in the common dining area for guests. 

Tea/Coffee will be served during breakfast and evening tea time. If you would like tea/coffee at any other time of the day, it can be arranged at an additional charge.

The menu includes local Maharashtrian food & mixed Indian & Chinese varieties. A few select Continental dishes can be served if requested a few days in advance.

No, guests are not allowed access to the kitchen and outside food is not allowed on the premises. For any special requests, kindly check with us in advance.

We have a simple rural local market, please carry any speciality tea / coffee / beverages etc.

Can I pay the caretaker some extra money and request the Cook to prepare fish or mutton dishes for us?

Yes. Please note that this will be subject to availability and will need to be requested one day in advance. 
Fish and mutton preparations shall be charged extra, at actuals which is payable in cash to the caretaker onsite. Please inform in advance, to allow our caretaker to procure the same.

There is a steady water supply. Mineral water at an extra charge can be supplied and filter water is available.

Yes, consumption of alcohol is permitted within limits. The villa does provide ice cubes, an ice bucket, tongs and glassware. Snacks and other beverages can be provided upon request at an additional charge.

If it is a self-catering villa, would you be able to arrange for a cook? What kind of cooking facilities are available?

Children up to the age of 6 shall not be charged for meals. Children in the age group 6-11 shall be charged Rs 1500 per day.

No, loud music is not permitted. However, guests may use the Bluetooth speakers available at the villa for their entertainment.

Smoking and sheeshas (hookah) are not allowed anywhere in the home. Please do not use flammables in the lawns.

No. Guests will only be able to access common areas on the property such as the living room, garden, private pool etc. 
Guests are strictly prohibited from crossing into neighboring properties under any circumstances. We request our guests to respect the privacy and personal space of our neighbors.

This home is easily accessible by car and approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Mumbai & 1.5 hours away from Pune

How do we reach your villa by public transport?

One may board the inter-city trains starting from Dadar or CST, Mumbai and heading towards Pune, alighting at Kanhe station. Alternatively, buses are available till Lonavala. One may hire a local taxi thereafter. Kamshet is 105 kms or approximately 2.5 hours from Mumbai.

How and when do I pay for the Security Deposit and how and when is it returned to me?

Security deposit of Rs. 35,000 is to be paid two days prior to check-in. If no damages are observed, the deposit will be returned during check-out itself or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out.

No. Members cannot redeem their nights, utilise their privileges, or avail any offers while booking this home.

How many extra mattresses can be provided?

Aside from the seven bedrooms, there are three extra beds (two on the first floor & one double bed in the living room) and 6 extra mattresses with bedding available. The mattresses will be laid out on the floor.

All bedrooms are furnished with a king size bed. Two of the bedrooms have also been furnished with a four poster bed. Blankets, duvets and bed runners are provided for every bed.

Yes, each bathroom is stocked with bath towels and face towels and toiletries. The bath linen is replaced every three days.

All rooms are WiFi enabled with 50mbps speed. Cellular networks are partially available inside the house depending on your carrier. Full network is available in and around the verandahs.

Please note: 
- Kamshet experiences load shedding by the MSEB on Thursdays between 9am - 6pm. The home is in a rural area of Maharashtra, powered by MSEB.
- In case of disruption of power due to fluctuation, we have inverters on battery power. However, this backup power does not support ACs or Geysers.
- Please use electricity optimally at all times. The monsoon and winter season do not require any extreme cooling appliances.

Do you have a problem with mosquitoes? How do you deal with it to make our stay more comfortable?

Fumigation is carried out by the caretaker every evening/ on request. Guests are requested to keep their windows shut in the evenings from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. In addition, all windows and doors have a protective netting. While we stock Odomos at the villa, we advise guests to carry it along.

The common areas of the property are under CCTV surveillance and the caretaker's family resides in the outhouse.

How do I get there?

From Mumbai: If you're travelling from Mumbai, take the second Lonavala exit towards Karla & Kusagoan.  Get on to the old Bombay-Pune highway (NH-4). After 15.4 km, you will pass the village of Kamshet; turn left after the Lalit Nursery at Kanhe Phata. Keep going for 6.6 km until you reach Takwe village square. After you cross Takwe, drive half a kilometer & take a right turn at a board that says BHOIRE (27.1). Drive for another 1.7 km, until you reach the 'mitti ka ghar'.
From Pune: Take the old Pune-Mumbai road. Cross Somatane phata drive straight. Pass Talegoan, Vadgoan & reach Kanhe (12 km). Turn right and drive past the railway crossing, and pass Takwe village market. Turn right at a sign that says Bhoire. Drive for another 1.7 km, until you reach the 'mitti ka ghar'.

Is this home child-friendly?

Yes, L'attitude is a lakefront home with plenty of space for children to play and run around. Since this villa is located in a rustic village (Phalane), parents are advised to be vigilant about rare sightings of insects, frogs, rodents or snakes when allowing children to run free in the surroundings. 

We are currently unable to provide board games & books due to COVID guidelines and request you to carry the same. 

If needed, our cook can prepare special dishes for children such as pastas, soups, cereal, Bournvita, hot milk etc. These should be requested in advance, at the time of booking. In the case of infants, mothers will be permitted to use the kitchen to prepare their meals.

Is this home senior citizen friendly?

Yes, this home is senior citizen-friendly. The home has two levels: ground floor and first floor. The entire ground floor is wheelchair friendly and contains a living room, verandah and two bedrooms with attached bathrooms. A flight of 8-10 stairs leads up to the first level bedroom. The driveway allows doorstep access to cars.
We also now have a second 4 bedroom villa which has 3 levels & could be challenging for people with mobility issues. 

In case of an emergency, a first aid kit is available at the villa. There is also a hospital nearby with ambulance service. Contact numbers are kept with the caretaker.

Is the villa wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the entire ground floor of the 1st villa is wheelchair friendly. There are two bedrooms with attached bathrooms on the ground floor of the 1st villa and the driveway allows doorstep access to cars.  The second villa is not wheelchair accessible.

Is the place pet-friendly?

Yes, this is a pet-friendly villa. Pets are not allowed on any of the furniture and will be restricted to the verandah area. Pet owners need to carry along food and bedding for their pets.
Rs. 500 per pet per day needs to be paid in cash at the villa. A refundable deposit may also be applied.  Pets are not allowed in the pool.

What can we do for fun around the property?

There are five gardens common to both villas.

There are 3 paragliding schools & a hot air balloon rental in Kamshet.  One may choose to register for a solo flying course or enjoy a tandem joyride.  In addition, Camp Water's Edge provides kayaking and other water sports facilities.  Numbers for various attractions have been placed with the caretaker.  For those who like to shop, there are two local bazaars nearby: Kanhe Market on Monday and Talegaon Market on Thursday where guests can pick up local souvenirs. 

You can also head to Tikona Fort or one of the many waterfalls (seasonal) around the home.

Is there a pool and what's the depth/ length of the pool?

There is a 32ft x16ft pool, with a depth of 4.5ft. Guests can access the pool only if 5 or more rooms are booked. Pool timings are 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Are there water bodies nearby (such as a pond/ river/ lake etc)?

This home is located on the shores of the Andre Dam Reservoir with a lake 100 metres away from the property.
 A 5 minute drive will get you to a place where you can get into the lake for a swim. The water is clean, potable and safe.
