Yes, our Home is child friendly. There is plenty of space to run around and many indoor activities that will keep your children occupied. Since SaffronStays believes that holidays are about families bonding, we do not have any WiFi in our Homes. The home has instead been stocked with books and board games such as Scrabble, Monopoly, Cards, Carrom, Foosball. There is also a basic first-aid kit, stocked with Dettol, band-aids, etc., for minor injuries. Parents are advised to be cautious when allowing kids to run around. Kid-friendly menus (cornflakes, Bournvita milk, etc) are also available. These would need to requested in advance, preferably at the time of booking. In the case of infants, mothers will be permitted to use the kitchen to prepare their meals.
Yes, our home is senior citizen/elderly friendly. The home has 1 bedrooms on the ground floor which is easily accessible by seniors. The room has a private bathroom, again easy to access at night without any supervision. All our bathrooms have anti-skid surface. There are about 5-10 stepping stones leading into the villa. Upon special request, our caretakers can prepare Low Salt/ Low Spice/ Low Fat/ Low Sugar for senior citizens. These requests should be informed at the time of booking.

All of the rooms have been furnished with All-out machines. Guests are advised to shut the windows by 5.30 / 7.30 pm to avoid mosquitoes. If needed, the caretaker has Odomos on site.
Food and Beverages
Meals are provided onsite. Meals will be charged at an additional cost. You will need to inform the caretaker in advance about your meal preferences if you wish to avail his services. Meal timings are as follows: Breakfast - 8 am to 9 am Lunch - 2 pm to 3 pm Dinner - 8.30 pm to 10 pm Tea/Coffee will be served during breakfast and afternoon tea time. If you would like tea/coffee during the day, this will be arranged at an additional charge. Please note that meals are not permitted in the room and that the kitchen shuts at 10 pm every night. If there is another guest at the property, please adjust your meal timings with the caretaker and respect the privacy of other guests. Fish and mutton preparations shall be charged extra, at actuals which is payable in cash to the caretaker onsite. Please inform in advance, to allow our caretaker to procure the same.
We offer simple home cooked meals. There is a standard menu available. You can inform the caretaker in advance about your meal preferences (veg/non-veg), specific dietary requirements, etc.

Yes, there is a steady water supply. If you wish to consume only sealed bottled water, please inform the caretaker of the same and pay him for the actuals on site, in cash.
Yes, alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. There is ample ice stocked in the fridge. Snacks and other beverages can be arranged if advance notice is given to the caretaker. This amount will need to be paid to the onsite caretaker in cash, at the end of your stay.
Children up to the age of 3 shall not be charged for meals. Children in the age group 3-6 shall be charged Rs 500 per day.
A Guest is entitled to a refund of 75% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking upto 15 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM). A Guest is entitled to a refund of 50% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking upto 7 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM) If the Guest cancels within 7 days of the Date of Check-In, he/she is entitled to no refund.
Unfortunately, there is no option for part payment. Guests are required to pay 100% of the payment before check-in.
Once you have chosen your dates and your booking has been accepted, you will receive a payment link where the payment can be processed. In case you're unable to make an online payment through the link, you could also deposit the cash in our bank account directly. We also offer other options like PayTM, NEFT/IMPS or UPI.
All additional payments (such as extra meals, pet charges, etc.) will have to be paid to the caretaker onsite in cash at the end of your stay. In special circumstances, we do accept these payments through PayTM.
Security deposit of INR 15000 is to be paid two day prior the check-in via Paytm. If no damages are observed, the deposit will be refunded 5 business days after check-out.

Our home is centrally located with close proximity to Kankeshwar Temple, and Kihim and Thal Beaches. Guests can even explore the Teenvira Biodiversity Park that is close to the home. Please contact the caretaker for further details.
Yes, there is a private pool swimming pool within the property. Pool timings are between 8 am to 5 pm. The water is chlorinated. As there is no lifeguard on hand, guests are advised to be cautious (especially around kids) and to refrain from swimming late at night. Kids must be accompanied by adults at all times. Our pool is available for poolside parties. However, we recommend keeping alcohol, food and glass bottles away from the pool to avoid accidents.
Yes Kihim and Thal beaches are nearby. The beach is safe but rocky. The beach has white sand. The tides are safe, but we recommend you to enjoy the waves from a distance post sunset.
Given the location of our home, playing loud music is allowed within limit and during specific time/hours. Guests are requested to respect our neighbors and keep the noise level mild and within the villa.
Yes, smoking is allowed but strictly not inside the home. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside in the garden/lawn area and discpose buds in the garbage bins, not the lawn/ pool. Alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. We do not encourage late night revelry or loud music.
Check-in time at 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am. Please note that check-out timings are strict as we need to ready the rooms for our next booking. Guests are requested to respect the timing of other guests as well. In case you wish to check in a little early or check out a little late, do inform us at the time of booking. Additional charges will be applied. Late check-out charges includes meals (lunch).

While roads connecting to the property are good, guests are advised to check the road and weather conditions before leaving for a road trip. In non-monsoon months, guests could avail the Mumbai-Mandwa Jetty services. From Mandwa Jetty: Straight road from Mandwa crossing Chondi to Kankeshwar Phatta, turn left and drive 1 km and turn right at Munawali Village. Go straight through village and end of road. Via Road: Cross Pen, Vadkal on Alibag Road, turn right at Karkehind and drive 3 kms on left side of road. Cross Future Outpost and turn left after 2 kms into Munawli village. Drive through village till end of road.
