Long weekends 2016: Calendar to ditch your desks!

Few days from now we will be stepping into the new year 2016. And new year means new resolutions, new to-do list, new leaves and yes new holidays! The first thing we did before 1st December 2015 was to scan through Calendar 2016, counting the number of long weekends and destinations that compliment the dates. So lets take a mass resolution to travel every month in 2016. Cut down a little on expenses, work little harder, keep your bosses happy & regular weekend getaways would be a sorted agenda for the rest of the year!
In January, perhaps you would still be in a dilemma about your new resolutions. In such, we suggest you to visit not too far off from the city.
February by default is the month of love & romance. You’d want to spend some time alone with your loved one. Surprise them by planning a secret getaway from the city.
March is the month of colors and who wants to live in black & white when you can paint your life red?!
April will certainly give you a tough time due to summers. How about escaping to a rather cold destination for a long weekend?
August is going to be a month of downpour. Take a break from your work & plan a getaway to monsoon destinations close to Mumbai.
September is going to be a month full of festivities. If you are among the few who do not like the city vibes during the festivals, plan to escape to a rather silent areas to find the inner peace.
October is most busy month of the year with endless festivals from various religions. It is that time of the year where people only want to enjoy the festive feasts, vibes and traditional attires.
November is when the winter chills sets in, in the rest of the world and you definitely want to take off from your work & visit places before they freeze. Not everyone would want to travel along and so you might just plan a solo trip.
